Jhon is a partner at Jhon Josephson’s Salon. Jhon moved to Kansas City in 1984 from Honolulu where he was educated in the beauty business. He only planned on staying for one year, but he fell in love with the Kansas City area and he’s been here ever since. He was educated in Hawaii and studied under Paul Mitchell himself. Jhon trained at LeCoupe in Toronto and Aveda in Minneapolis. He has also worked in his home of Los Angeles, New York, Amsterdam, and London. Jhon is trained as a master stylist for Framesi as well as studied under most of the other color lines. He is a color specialist which is where his heart lies. He is trained in cutting from various artists in the hair industry. His love of hair and his passion for the industry has kept him motivated for over 35 years. Education is the key to his success. He presently books clients six months out.   
 
 
 
 
     ~Doris~
Doris Josephson is one-half of the partnership that blossomed into Jhon Josephson Salon. Hair is her true passion, and Doris has been in the hair industry for many, many years. Doris draws strength and inspiration from her loyal clientele, and thrives on the hectic, but rewarding job of running Jhon Josephon. When working with a client, her top priority is asking questions and listening; she knows that is the best way to customize the style that best fits the client’s needs and lifestyle. Not content to merely learn, she has also trained for Framesi color. Doris’ knowledge is vast, and she specializes in highlights, lowlights, corrective color, and cuts. As both an educator and stylist, she keeps up with the latest cutting and coloring techniques within the Framesi team. To broaden her experience and knowledge, she has also trained with Jingles of New York, San Francisco International team, Graham Webb Institute, Rusk International, Aveda Congress, Toni and Guy, Chi, Robert Cromeans, Altieri Brothers, and Redken. 
 
            
 

~Amber~
Amber brings over fifteen years of hairstyling experience to deliver fantastic results. She specializes in styling, color, and highlighting, and is a graduate of the Superior School of Hairstyling. To sharpen her skills and keep current with the latest trends, she has attended the Redken Symposium, the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show, and multiple Framesi cut and color classes. When she’s not at Jhon Josephson, you can
find her in her garden bringing more natural beauty to life. She is also passionate about the edible arts; while she works her magic on your hair, ask her about what she’s been cooking up in her kitchen, or attend one of her fabulous wine education courses. 

 

  ~Candice~
  Whatever your vision may be,Candice can create it. As a hairstylist for men and women who specializes in cutting, color, highlights, relaxing and smoothing treatments, Great Lengths hair extensions, and specialty styles and updos for weddings and other special occasions, there is no look she cannot create from start to finish. Candice got her start at the Superior School of Hairstyling, and has since trained with L’Oréal, Aveda, Redken, Chi, GK, Mizani, and Keri Care. Her time away from the salon is devoted first and foremost to her two beautiful boys, who are her life.

 

~David- Artistique Nails~

David specializes in both natural nails and unique nail art and design – if you can dream it, he can create it! If you like the natural look, David works carefully to enhance your natural nails while causing no damage or indentations to your nail bed. He is also a master with acrylic nails, shellac with OPI Axxium, CND, Harmony Gelish, and Entity1 products. His services range from a quick touch-up to deluxe spa manicures and pedicures, as well as paraffin wax for dry hands. You can count on David to be current on the newest trends so he can always offer you the latest styles and services. When he’s not at the salon perfecting his clients’ nails, you might find him out fishing at the lake,keeping fit at the gym, or spending time with his lovely daughter.

 ~Irina~

Irina is not just a stylist, she’s an artist. Her medium? Your hair, her tools. And her color – she is a specialist of color, highlights, lowlights, and corrective color. In the art of hair design and color, Irina has few equals, with over twenty-seven years of experience. Over the years, she has perfected her art, training with such illustrious names as Vidal Sassoon in Russian and California, Toni and Guy, and Wella. She is certified for hair straightening and L’Oréal color, and she continues to work as diligently at her education as she does for her clients. Outside of the salon, Irina keeps extra busy; she loves to perform for her friends on piano, play golf, exercise, hit the dance floor, travel, cook, and read. Book Irina today – her artistic vision for styling, cutting, and color will have you envied by everyone you encounter.

 

 ~Erin ~
Erin is a master stylist, specializing in color, cuts, and creating complete looks. Erin is passionate about creating your perfect style, and her precise attention to detail is evident to the final touch. As a stylist for twelve years, Erin honed her talent at Beauty Brands for eight years before venturing into booth rental, where she continues both her expertise and her education. Erin's history makes her the stylist she is today; she has trained for brands such as Sarouk and Redken, and had the pleasure and privilege of styling the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders from 2001 to 2005. When she's not making her clients beautiful, she is blessed to spend time with her husband, Jon, and two boys, Miles and Maxwell.

 

 ~Phyllis~                       

Whatever color you desire, in whatever style you desire – Phyllis is not content until you look good and feel good about your new look. Phyllis got her start over thirty-two years ago in St. Louis, and to that experience she adds the skills and techniques acquired from the New York Redken Academy and Graham Webb in Las Vegas. To keep sharp and up to date on the latest in color, she also regularly attends the Chicago symposium. In her free time, Phyllis loves spending time in the kitchen whipping up delicious meals, playing and relaxing with her dogs, and traveling back to St. Louis to visit old friends and family.

 

 

    ~Patti~
If you know exactly what you want, Patti is the person to speak to. She is passionate about building relationships with her clients to learn what makes them look and feel their best. Man or woman, with over thirty-three years of experience that began at Aveda in Minneapolis, Patti absorbs your vision and perfectly composes your desired look. If that same old hair tone is getting you down, Patti has also been trained by both Framesi and Redken, and loves to do highlights and color for her clients. Outside of the salon, she most loves spending time with her family and friends, particularly at the lake, and losing herself on long walks with her dog.

 

 ~Angela~
The day Angela stops honing her skills is the day she retires. With over thirty seven years of experience, Angela is constantly learning new techniques to deliver the best styling experience possible. Angela anchored her education at the Farrell Academy before moving on to the Toni and Guy Advanced Academy in Dallas. She has shown off her considerable skill at the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show and the New York City International Beauty Show, and has been graced with the chance to work with Hubert Kuhnen, Donald Scott, and Paul Mitchell. Angela’s precision cuts and original designer styles are works of art, whether you’re the type who wants a celebrity’s style or a look that is all yours. For a dramatic touch, she adds depth to her creations with KeraSmooth hair relaxing, chemical texturing, and corrective and dimensional coloring. She loves working with men and women, and nothing makes her happier than when a client lets her unleash her creativity.  

 

 

  ~Lana~
Lana Dwyer knows that the best way to please her clients is to get to know them on a personal level. Lana is a graduate of the Hays School in Mission, and has excelled in further studies with Toni and Guy, Graham Webb, the Aveda Institute, Pureology, Sam Brocato, Sam Villa, Framesi, and Chi. Whether she is consulting, styling, coloring, highlighting, cutting, waxing, or massage treating a scalp, Lana’s clients are guaranteed to look good and feel great when she’s done with them.

 

 

                          

 

  ~Cindy~
Cindy has been making people beautiful for over twenty-one years, working with her clients to accommodate their needs through magnificent color and perfect cutting techniques. She also loves to brighten a hair style or balance the color with highlights. She is one of Jhon Josephson Salon’s most versatile styling talents, offering expert nail services to care for her clients' hands and feet to complete the total salon experience. Cindy is passionate about every aspect of her work, and she has attended various classes to sharpen and expand her skills, including Redken, Goldwell, Matrix, and Creative Nail. Cindy has a loyal clientele, but is always welcoming new clients. 

  

  ~Amy~

Amy  is a true styling artist with over sixteen years of experience. She is not only a graduate of the College of Hair design, she holds an Associate of Arts degree from Johnson County Community College. She focuses on listening to her clients’ needs, then she executes their vision with her exceptional experience and confidence in all aspects of hair styling, including re-texturizing and color enhancements. She is certified in Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening, and her training also includes Redken, L’Oréal, Chi, Sam Villa, Graham Webb International, and the Toni and Guy Academy of Precision Haircutting and Coloring. As Amy continues to pursue advanced education, you can count on her always being current with new styling trends to give you the latest look.

 

 

  ~ Shannon~
Shannon is the ideal stylist to get you ready for the special occasions on your busy calendar, with over fifteen years of experience styling men and women. She is an expert at cutting, highlighting, coloring, and facial waxing, and loves to help her clients look and feel spectacular. Her job is not done until your family and friends are bursting with compliments on your hair! Beginning at LaBaron Hair Academy, she has also trained with Framesi, TIGI, Joico, and Redken. You won’t need to worry about Shannon losing focus with you, either – she rarely double books, so she can give you all of her attention while you’re in her chair. Her art extends beyond the salon, as well. When she’s not making her clients look their best, you might find her creating lovely paintings and crafting handmade jewelry.
